Chop Chop Lollipop! {Downers Grove Children Photography}

2014-01-31_0012

“Chop Chop Lollipop!” is a cute little saying we learned from Pumpkin-Poo’s preschool teacher & I think this phrase fits perfectly for what happened last night in our home… my sweet friend Tiffany came on over & gave Pumpkins a drastic haircut! She told me after the haircut that she wants to be just like her big sis. Thankfully, her big sis did not seem to mind too much {so far!}.2014-01-31_0013

She seriously cannot stop looking in the mirror & swinging her hair around. SO CUTE! This morning she requested a photo shoot, so I let her choose some of the clothing {why she always wants to wear summer clothes in the dead of winter is beyond me?!}2014-01-31_0014

If you want to get that adorable personalized pillow, go to my friend’s shop: Sarah & Abraham for LOTS of personalized gifts for kids, including sweet Valentine gifts! Of course we love this plate for our owl lovers!

Milestones: First Lost Tooth for Pumpkin Poos

2014-01-22_00072014-01-22_0008

My Pumkin-Poos lost her first “bendy” tooth yesterday at the dentist! He reached in to see how wobbly it was & YIKES! it came right out & she did not even know it. I am still wondering if he really pulled it on purpose or not?! Nevertheless, it made for some great pain-free memories & the tooth fairy even visited our house, bringing 2 shiny quarters to make her day. I love how she truly believes in childlike wonder. It is so sweet (something my other 2 never had!)

A White Winter {Julie Chen Photography – Downers Grove Photography – Hinsdale Photography}

2014-01-16_0001

It has really been a beautiful white winter here in the suburbs of Chicago. I photographed this family two weeks before Christmas on a *gulp* 17 degree day. We were on their grandmother’s beautiful front porch and french doors opened to their warm living room, so the kids would take turns popping in & out of the house for their photos to be taken. I also learned they are a die hard hockey family, so maybe that is why they were so great in the cold?2014-01-16_0002

I just LOVE how they turned out. Winter photography is fun! I adore those warm smiles.
