The FAQ
Where do you shoot?
I am from Downers Grove, Illinois & I shoot in the surrounding area: Downers Grove, Hinsdale, Oakbrook, Naperville, Wheaton, & Winfield.
If you would like me to travel farther than my local area, please contact me with the inquiry & we will determine a travel fee then.
I shoot outdoors, as I truly believe people feel more at ease & are more natural in an outdoor environment. Once you contact me with your interest in booking a session, I will send you my location guide as we finalize your session.
what do we do in case of bad weather?
Since I only shoot outdoors, we will reschedule our session if there is bad weather. That said, I rarely trust the forecast & will not reschedule until the day before or even the day of. You would not believe how beautiful the sky can be just after the rain! (in other words, do not worry about this; it always works out!)
How many photos do we get?
If you are booking a senior or family session, you will get MINIMUM 35 hi res edited images for you to keep. (I tend to get very excited & immersed in my shoots, so chances are that number might be closer to 50, but it always depends on the variables).
If you are booking a headshot, you will get 3 hi res edited images.
If you are booking an extended family shoot, we will discuss the number of edited images when we discuss how large your family is.
What should we wear?
I get this question from almost every client I work with! My answer is always the same: you should wear whatever makes you "YOU". Since my goal is to immortalize the real you, I hope that you feel comfortable, beautiful & confident in whatever you choose to wear.
Feel free to text me photos of outfit choices & for my senior shoots, I often have them bring extra choices (just in case) as the environment we shoot in will definitely effect clothing choices. Feel free to ask me more about this!
How do we get our photos?
You will download your final edited images from my client gallery site, which I will send you the link when the gallery is ready for you.
Can you help us with planning?
Of course! It would be my honor & it is an expected part of my process. I love dreaming with my clients & I am very open to both your ideas & your concerns! The more we communicate, the more you will feel at ease on the day of the shoot!
Do you retouch photos?
Yes & No.
Yes, I will definitely touch up acne & any other blemishes that are a distraction to you loving your image.
No, I will not modify your body shape or airbrush you to make you look like a super model.
I strive to capture your authentic, natural image and enhance it through editing, but I will not change who you truly are.

Whats your turn around time?
My galleries are typically delivered within 2-3 weeks.

Do you offer prints or products?
Yes, for an additional fee you can purchase fine art prints or gallery wrap canvases. You will see those options when I send you the gallery link.
How long have you been a photographer?
My love of photography goes back to college, where I picked up my first camera and explored the magic of the darkroom.
Once my children were born, I started focusing my work on tiny humans. (My son is 21 years old, so I have been shooting for that long.) I started my photography business about 15 years ago when more & more friends kept asking me to create their family portraits.
I have shot my kids' cross country, track, and badminton competitions & I love working with athletes.
And, as a book designer, I am constantly researching photography and art directing some shoots for my cover design.
